Atico International USA Recalls Heaters

The cPCS reports a voluntary recall by Atico International USA for Heater fans and Portable Quartz Radiant Heaters.

True Living Heater Fans and Portable Quartz Radiant Heaters have been recalled by Atico International USA due to fire hazards. Aitico has received reports that some of their heaters have caught fire.

Atico reports that of A14B1053 Heater Fan overheating and the A14B0979 Quartz Heater overheating.  Atico reported that their 14B1053 Heater Fan caused damage to an electrical outlet and wall and flames coming out of the front of the unit. They also reported A14B0979 Quartz Heater damage to the heater’s plug and flames coming from a control knob. Both products include incidents of smoke and melting of the plastic casing.

Atico estimates around 92,000 total units sold.
